Agriturismo Borgo Floreani

The moraine hills of central Friuli are a territory dedicated to the cultivation of vines and in particular of the aromatic varieties.

Thanks to a constant flow of air that arrives during the daytime from the Adriatic and at night from the Alps, yes creates a very important thermal shock which induces the plant to produce substances aromatics that we find in the grapes and in our wines.

Further notable benefits have on health of the plants and bunches allowing us a
care of the vineyard that respects nature.

The debris left by the glaciers that formed the hills and subsequent erosion e plant colonization have created a varied quality of soils, from clayey to pebbly fertile to thin.

In the designs of our vineyards, analyzes of the soil, of exposure to the sun and winds, have been at basis of the varietal choices that led us to grow varieties suitable for their home.

The four vineyards are located in the small Floreani plain and on the small one
Faet hill a few hundred meters away.

Having the vineyards outside the
doorstep allows us constant monitoring and dedication
aimed at “treating every single plant as an individual plant of a
complex biological system that is the vineyard”.
